"FILOLI"
What exactly is FILOLI? Filoli is a name of a wonderful place located in Woodside, CA, off Highway 280 between San Jose and San Francisco. Take the
Canada Rd. exit. Filoli comes from the first two letters of the words..
Fight, Love, Live.
A mega-estate with over 16 acres of gardens, a 36,000 square foot mansion, and massive meadows. This was my first visit with hopefully many more
visits to come. Since it was an introductory visit, I was in the half tourist, have photographer mode, so many of my photographs were more of a visitor
than an artist. Hopefully in the future, I will join the artist level taking full advantage of the beautiful gardens settings. I have already spotted a few
"have to go back" spots during my observational tour with our wonderful cousins which live about 10 minutes from Filoli. I had to ask one of our
cousins, "Is there any more secret places near here?" So if you ever get the chance, GO! You will not be disappointed. Of all the rose gardens I have
visited, this one was the most fragrant. Here are a few photos from my visit. Enjoy.
